You know what it’s like, how it feels.
To be inspired.
To create.
To live a life worth living.
It’s caught up in the little things, right?
It’s in jumping into the lake in your Sunday best.
And in the sound of mason jars clicking together in exuberant toasts.
It’s how your feet feel as they hit the pavement in that nineteenth mile.
Or the excited anticipation of a first date and all the possibilities after.
It’s in taming the tension between the familiar, worn ridges of your favorite places and the going out to the wild unknown corners of the map.
It’s a risk.
It’s the moment when you know that, no matter what, you’re going to do that thing you’ve always wanted—but been afraid—to do. When you decide to live a life that’s so much bigger than you.
We know it too.
And we’ve put a name on it, given it a place.
We call it “Venture”.
For almost a year, I’ve served with a group of World Race alumni-called the Storytelling Initiative- to create something really exciting. We spent hours unraveling the heart of story and dreaming of a space where those stories could live. Over the course of many months—and several hundred cups of coffee—we created something pretty amazing. Something we want to share with you. Something we’re calling Venture Magazine.
Today, we’re launching Venture Magazine, a monthly online magazine celebrating both the daring moments of life and the quiet, but uneclipsed ones. Here, we’re writing about finding God in our everyday, and about living fully no matter where we are.
We want you there too.
You know what it’s like to live these stories—these are the stories we all want to live. And now we have a place to share them.
Visit us at venturemagazine.org for more details and to see our very first issue! And ask yourself,
How will I Venture out?
